Orara uniform consistency develops unity and belonging

Orara uniform

We live in peculiar times where it can be tricky to determine what to wear of a morning because of the erratic weather. Consequently, we need to be prepared for four seasons in one day!

It is great to see the majority of our students prepared for the tempermental weather by wearing the correct uniform and having the correct outerwear (for example, jumpers) in their bags ready to wear.

Unfortunately, the weather has led to an increase in students wearing a colourful array of inappropriate tops and bottoms at school.

We expect students to wear the correct uniform to build and maintain a sense of unity with, and pride in, the Orara High School community.

Students who wear incorrect items of outerwear (such as jumpers and hoodies) will be asked to remove the item and place it in their bags. Students who are wearing incorrect items that cannot be removed will be provided with temporary alternatives.

If you're unsure of the complete uniform requirements, please visit the uniform page for clarification.

All items of our logoed uniform are sold through Lowes at Park Beach Plaza. Clicking on the link will take your directly to the Orara High School Lowes page.

We know school uniform can be a great expense, so we are happy to assist families with purchasing the correct uniform, including jumpers, so that students are correctly attired and dressed to be part of the school.

Alternatively, we simply ask that students wear the school shirt, and plain black jumpers and shorts/pants with no logos, text or images. These can be purchased for reasonable prices from K-Mart, Big W, Target or Best&Less.

Please support us in creating an environment and culture where students feel a sense of unity, belonging and pride in themselves and their peers by ensuring your child or children are wearing the correct and appropriate uniform.

We thank you in advance for your support in making Orara High School a great place to learn and belong.
