Wellbeing

Student wellbeing program @ Orara High School

Our student wellbeing program takes a whole school approach to the wellbeing of our students.

The intent of the program is to develop an inclusive and supportive environment which facilitates open and respectful communication between staff, students, parents and community.

Students will develop skills and demonstrate behaviours from the school's The Orara Way values system of safe, inclusive and respectful learners.

Our student wellbeing program aims to build a caring environment characterised by strong student-staff relationships where our students feel safe and supported.

We also aim to promote responsible and appropriate choices and behaviour to enhance learning opportunities, which will encourage every student to reach their full potential.

Students will develop:

  • A sense of belonging

  • Social awareness

  • Responsible behaviour

  • Resilience and a growth mindset

Year Advisors

Each year has two dedicated year advisors to support students through their secondary schooling years.

Each year has a dedicated webpage where year advisor contact, academic and wellbeing information can be found (see links below). We strongly encourage parents/carers and students to regularly check the relevant webpage(s) and to add them to their favourites list for easy access.
